Pear “Packham’s Triumph” is also known as Packham’s Triumph Pear and is a popular, all-purpose pear variety known for its large, mid-season fruit with excellent storage qualities. It’s a reliable bearer, and while it’s a good dessert pear, it also excels in cooking and bottling. Packham’s Triumph requires a good amount of chilling hours to set fruit, making it suitable for cooler climates.

  • Pollination: Requires pollination from other pear varieties like ‘Beurre Bosc’, ‘Winter Nelis’, ‘Taylor’s Gold’, and Nashis. 
  • Sunlight: Prefers a full sun position. 
  • Soil: Deep-rooted and adaptable to most soil types, though tolerant of wet soils in summer. 
  • Climate: Thrives in cooler areas with mild summers.
