More Information
A hybrid between C.japonica Kenyotai x C.lutchuensis first bloomed 1967 in USA.
Plant growth is upright and average in rate. The peony form bloom has a white centre and rose-pink outer petals, flower average 5cm across. Deep cinnamon fragrance. Blooms early through to late.
Use as an Ornamental
As a hedge plant at 70cm centres.
As an ornamental it can grow up to 3m high and 1.5 wide. Use as a background plant. Do not plant hard against a house wall.
Like all Camellias if the plant gets old and loses form, prune severely back to a stump 30 – 50cm high. After a few weeks new shoots will appear from the stump and the plant will reform.
