Use as an Ornamental
Camellia Nicky Crisp can be used as a stand-alone ornamental, or as an informal border screen. Its naturally tight form means it requires little to no maintenance. It will flower in spring, unlike the C. sasanqua varieties more commonly used for hedging which flower in autumn to early winter.
Like all Camellias if the plant gets old and loses form, prune severely back to a stump 30 – 50cm high. After a few weeks new shoots will appear from the stump and the plant will reform.
