Raywood Ash is a medium-sized deciduous tree, typically reaching 40-50 feet in height and 25-30 feet in width. Young trees exhibit an upright, pyramidal shape that broadens with age, developing a rounded, dense canopy. The leaves are pinnately compound, with 7-9 narrow leaflets, and are a glossy, deep green during the growing season. In autumn, the leaves transform into a vibrant display of red, burgundy, and purple hues. The bark is smooth and light grey. This cultivar is a male clone, producing very few seeds.
  • Raywood Ash is a popular choice for street trees, avenues, and as a specimen tree in parks and gardens.
  • Its striking fall color makes it a highly desirable ornamental tree.
  • The tree’s fine-textured foliage creates a graceful, plume-like appearance in the wind.
