It is a New Zealand-discovered mutation of the Comice pear, best grown in full sun with cross-pollination from varieties like \’Beurre Bosc\’ or \’Winter Nelis\’. Cultivation involves annual pruning, regular watering, and protection from frost and wind to produce a medium-sized, upright tree that is also suitable for espalier training.
